If your home has a low-efficiency boiler, it could mean you face high energy costs and produce high carbon emissions. Using the government boiler grant looks to remove both these issues, replacing old and inefficient boilers for vulnerable households. This also helps the UK government meet their sustainability targets. As part of the ECO Scheme, we offer the government boiler grant in Blackburn, with boiler upgrades and insulation.
Unfortunately, the boiler grant is not available to every individual. For those who are struggling with bills and have old boiler systems, you will still have to meet some of the criteria for an upgrade. We must also evaluate your existing boiler and heating efficiency to ensure you are eligible. If you have any questions or issues, our team will advise you throughout the application.
Boiler Grant Criteria
To be eligible, you must meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Child Benefit
- Pension Guarantee Credit
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- Income Support
- Tax Credits (Child Tax Credits and Working Tax Credits)
- Universal Credit
- Housing benefit
- Pension credit saving credit
Furthermore, the number of applicants within your household could also affect the application. If you’re unsure on any of the criteria and need advice to see if you qualify, we will give our full support. The scheme runs from July 2022 to 31st March 2026 and with us, clients throughout Blackburn can contact us to discuss installation, boiler products and the application process.
Once the application is complete, we supply and install the boiler ourselves. Only the best manufacturers are used, guaranteeing an ‘A’ rating on every boiler and giving you full assurance over the quality of our equipment and products. We complete full safety checks and inspections. Combined with the ‘A’ rated boiler, this improves your home efficiency to reduce energy bills and carbon emissions.
